Job Summary
Director of Retail Workforce Management & Business Planning accountable for owning and evolving global WFM and business planning for a premium activewear brand. Lead budgeting for all retail locations, forecast-to-actual performance, and reforecasting tied to product buys and promotions. Partner with Technology, Data, and Analytics teams to enhance forecasting models and self-service insights; leverage AI-powered tools to improve forecasting accuracy and planning efficiency. Develop annual labor budgets in collaboration with Operations and Finance, track labor performance against plan, manage WFM KPIs, and oversee scheduling playbooks and vendor partnerships. Lead and develop a team of WFM and planning professionals, driving data-driven decision making across a growing, multi-region retail organization. Based in the greater Los Angeles area with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- 8+ years of experience in retail FP&A, WFM, labor planning, or operations analytics within a large, complex, multi-unit retail organization
- 4+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers
- Proven success designing and executing enterprise or multi-region workforce strategies supporting thousands of employees across multiple geographies
- Deep expertise in workforce planning, labor forecasting, scheduling strategy, and labor optimization methodologies
- Experience implementing or transforming workforce management platforms (e.g., Legion, UKG, Kronos, or comparable tools) through a full lifecycle—from requirements and design through build, pilot, and rollout; experience with Legion strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale labor budgets and influence P&L outcomes
- Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level insights and recommendations
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and influencing skills; comfortable operating in high-growth, build-oriented environments
- Background in premium, omnichannel, or globally expanding apparel, lifestyle, or specialty retail strongly preferred
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the greater Los Angeles area; willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
