Job Summary
The Director of Retail Training is responsible for executing the learning and talent development strategy within the Donated Goods & Retail Division. This includes supervising talent development staff, ensuring the consistent delivery of retail training aligned with organizational goals, and maintaining training materials. Key duties encompass hands-on training for store leadership, creating a 'train-the-trainer' model, and supporting store performance improvements. The role requires strong expertise in building training programs, retail operations, and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent AND years of experience required
- Associates degree AND 4 years of experience required
- Bachelors degree AND years of experience required
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling training programs that drive measurable results
- Strong, practical experience with retail operations
- Experience building train-the-trainer models
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on experience training and coaching Store Managers/Assistant Managers
- Experience administering or optimizing an LMS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing and running leadership development programming (manager foundations, cohorts, pipeline readiness)
