Job Summary
Director leads the Research Library Partnership (RLP) program at OCLC, providing strategic and operational leadership to coordinate activities across multiple focus areas, manage a small team, and sustain partnerships with member libraries globally. The role includes developing an integrated annual calendar of engagements (webinars, partner forums, focus groups, working groups), overseeing operational planning and delivery for virtual and in-person events, coordinating communications and materials, and ensuring consistent partner experiences. The Director collaborates with Senior Program Officers and internal stakeholders to translate strategy into execution, support program development and membership management, monitor engagement metrics, and explore new affiliation models to broaden library partnerships. Strong program management, relationship-building, and communications skills are essential, as is experience in leadership within or alongside academic, research, public, or national libraries. This is a senior-level, full-time position with hybrid on-site and remote elements based in Dublin, OH.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading complex programs, portfolios, or membership-based initiatives
- demonstrated people-management experience
- Experience supporting membership-based or community-driven programs
- Bachelor’s degree (MLIS strongly preferred)
