Job Summary
The Director of Research and Intelligence Services will lead the development and implementation of research and competitive intelligence products and services within the Knowledge & Innovation department. This role includes managing a team of researchers and intelligence analysts, ensuring departmental efficiency, establishing goals aligned with client needs, and overseeing the Research & Intelligence budget. The candidate must possess strategic thinking abilities and experience in change management, with extensive knowledge of legal research tools and vendor management, while demonstrating strong project management and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited school
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the legal industry
- A minimum of 5 years as a people leader
- Extensive knowledge of commercially available legal research and digital knowledge platforms
- Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present ideas clearly
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships
- Experience in developing strategy to implement or enhance systems, procedures, and workflow to increase efficiency
- Understanding of AI with hands-on experience in Prompt Engineering
- Strong project management capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to direct change management initiatives in an Information Services environment
