Job Summary

Schedule and coordinate the quarterly preparation of U.S. Statutory reports filed with various regulatory authorities. Lead and manage accounting and financial reporting functions for regulatory transactions, reviewing statutory accounting information to ensure data accuracy and design integrity. Work with business units to secure timely information, monitor NAIC guidelines and industry initiatives, and participate in designing efficient reporting controls and processes. Manage direct reports through hiring, training, and performance evaluation while maintaining regular attendance. Liaise with regulatory service providers and internal departments to assure data integrity and resolve reporting process issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA certification
  • FLMI
  • 8+ years accounting or auditing experience
  • 5+ years U.S. Statutory reporting experience
  • 5+ years supervisory or management experience
  • Intermediate Word, Excel and SQL/Query skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Company business practices and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of the insurance and/or reinsurance industry
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously
  • Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines
