Job Summary
Handle regulatory inquiries, exams, and data collection exercises to satisfactory conclusions. Manage information and documentation requests, facilitate meetings with regulators, and ensure responses adequately address requests without exposing risks. Identify key themes, potential risks, and mitigation plans to proactively address perceived issues before they become problems. Perform efficient tracking, monitoring, and disposition of all information requests and meetings from supervisory exams to ad hoc regulatory matters. Support US Regulatory and Regulatory Operations as needed and work on special projects as required. This role involves managing regulatory activities for AIG's GLCR Global Regulatory Group in New York or New Jersey.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-8 years in a large financial services organization managing or supporting regulatory activities (exams, data calls, filings)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking skills and easily adaptable to change
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and process orientation with the ability to both validate existing processes as well as design future processes
- Robust problem-solving skills, including the ability to find multiple solutions to complex problems
- Appropriate assertiveness and sense of urgency
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Collaborative and helpful
