Job Summary
Oversee Sr. Managers and Managers to provide property tax consulting and appeal services for assigned clients, actively pursuing new opportunities and maintaining existing relationships. Enforce policies and standards while researching tax issues, overseeing real property valuations, and negotiating settlements related to assessment reductions. Prepare and present assessment appeals and supporting litigation, scheduling status calls, leading client presentations, and updating stakeholders on engagement activities. Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and negotiations, manage client contracts, billing, and receivables collection. Supervise team members, provide performance feedback, distribute workload, and lead internal training and external speaking engagements.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, Business Management or other degree with MBA, MST or JD required
- Minimum of ten years property tax related experience required
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research
- Valid driver's license required
- Director should maintain professional designations such as Certified Member of the Institute (CMI), and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), or equivalent, and keep active in professional organizations on a local and national level
- Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States
