Job Summary
Director, Real Property Business Solutions leads definition and approval of business processes and requirements for Alto's Real Property function, overseeing land acquisition, expropriation, corridor protection, property records and asset management; collaborates with Alto IT on GIS/geomatics platforms, document management, and workflow automation; serves as senior advisor to Real Property leaders on the use of business solutions; manages a team of advisors; coordinates with internal and external partners; requires GIS leadership and a strong understanding of real property activities in major infrastructure projects; familiarity with ArcGIS and related tools; bilingual in English and French; flexible hybrid work arrangement across Alto’s offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, and Ottawa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Urban Planning, Environment, Land Surveying, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Demonstrated success defining business requirements for enterprise GIS and digital solutions in support of real property, land acquisition, expropriation or corridor management functions on large, complex infrastructure projects
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in land information, GIS, property records, land management, acquisition or infrastructure network delivery, including direct exposure to major infrastructure projects and strong understanding of acquisition and expropriation processes
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Pro, Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps etc.), FME Flow and Form, Python and PostgreSQL, Sharepoint, CRMs (Borealis)
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience
- Fluency in both official languages
