Director, R&D - Labeling and Packaging

Define and execute the long-term strategy for labeling and packaging aligned with UCC growth objectives, serving as the functional leader across innovation, new product development, and sustaining engineering portfolios. Embed consumer product design principles to improve usability, clarity, and shelf impact, partnering with Marketing and Design teams to drive innovation in packaging formats and materials. Lead transformation initiatives to standardize workflows, eliminate waste, and implement digital/AI-enabled solutions that accelerate throughput and reduce cycle times while maintaining ≥95% on-time delivery. Ensure all deliverables meet global regulatory requirements including FDA, EU MDR, and ISO standards through rigorous quality management and audit readiness. Build a high-performing, scalable organization with strong technical and operational capabilities to support BD's expansion into consumer-focused, design-driven solutions at scale.
