Job Summary
Provide thought leadership and coaching for continuous improvement systems to solve problems and develop people across the Division. Lead the development of CI fundamentals, best practices, and metrics while deploying Managing for Daily Improvement as the lean management system. Facilitate the execution of improvement initiatives along cross-functional value streams and support strategy deployment. Ensure the Integrated Management System (ISO, GFSI, GMP) is followed through documented process monitoring and oversee external audits. Manage customer complaints and rejects to ensure accurate root cause analysis and corrective actions. Train quality personnel and maintain effective relationships with operations and business leaders. Represent ProAmpac to new and existing customers.
Required Qualifications
- 10 +years of business experience with significant hands-on experience as a lean practitioner and with quality management systems
- Bachelor's Degree or above from a four-year university in a related discipline
- Certificates in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience managing manufacturing operations
- Multiple site experience
- Demonstrated excellent people leadership and team building skills
- Demonstrated success in bringing about changes in an organization, consensus building, and influencing all levels of an organization
- Excellent English language fluency
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities
- Prior audit experience and knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, GFSI
- Fully integrated management system oversight which includes food safety, regulatory and quality management systems
- Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection
- Expected typical travel by car, plane with some overnight stays estimated at between 25-50% in a typical month
- The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
