Job Summary
Director-Purchasing, North America leads procurement activities across the NA function, including cost-out leadership, supplier engagement, tariff and risk mitigation, sourcing and category strategies, and cross-functional alignment to deliver material solutions that maximize business and customer value. The role oversees aftermarket (AMPS) purchasing and supports New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, building high-performing teams, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide goals. Key responsibilities include leading functional workstreams with KPI tracking, PMO support, delivery of pipeline projects, and ensuring compliance with Global Procurement policies; direct engagement with AMPS leadership and collaboration with global procurement teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Materials Management or related field is required.
- A Master’s Degree in Business or a Technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years professional work experience with 5 years purchasing work experience in global manufacturing companies with increasing responsibilities in a multi-site, multi-product, company is required.
- At least 6 years managerial experience.
