Job Summary
Director-level civil engineering leadership role overseeing Public Works & Local Infrastructure in Corpus Christi, TX. Lead multiple engineering teams, drive project design, reviews, and delivery while mentoring staff, maintaining safety and QA/QC standards, and fostering client relationships to identify new opportunities. Responsibilities include overseeing planning, design, and implementation of multi-discipline public works projects, preparing proposals and bids, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Requires 20+ years of experience, PE license in Texas, and an ABET-equivalent degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil engineering). Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong writing and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas
- At least 20 years of experience in utility and public works design, local infrastructure, public works, municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and land development projects
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
