Job Summary
Serve as the primary media contact for St. Catherines and St. Charles Hospital, proactively building relationships with local, regional, and healthcare outlets while developing strategies to enhance visibility and trust. Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, managing routine inquiries and escalating sensitive issues in partnership with Corporate Communications and executive leadership. Identify and promote compelling patient and physician stories, translating complex clinical topics into accessible content for earned media, social channels, and internal platforms. Direct social media strategy to drive engagement and brand reputation, ensuring all content remains timely, HIPAA-compliant, and aligned with organizational priorities. Support local presidents with internal communications to amplify key messages and foster employee engagement. Report on PR performance metrics and insights to leadership, collaborating with corporate teams to align local initiatives with system-wide goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in public relations, media relations, or communications
