Job Summary
Director, Oncology Public Affairs at Johnson & Johnson in Horsham, PA leads development and execution of strategic public affairs and advocacy initiatives supporting US Oncology, partnering with brand, market access, Government Affairs, and policy teams; accountable for positioning on policy matters related to patient access, portfolio growth, and leadership in oncology policy priorities; builds relationships with advocacy organizations, professional societies, and stakeholders; manages risk and communications to protect reputation, support access and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required with a preference of study in the areas of Political Science, Policy, Public Relations, Government, Community Affairs, Communications or closely related field
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years professional experience
- Experience in public affairs, politics, policy communications, advocacy
- Strong communications skills, including engaging with executive leadership
- Strong writing and messaging ability
- Experience with external affairs development and execution
- Broad understanding of pricing policy and standards in engaging policymakers and KOLs
- Ability to develop relationships externally and internally
- Ability to engage with business partners, understand commercial and business strategy and support that strategy through public affairs.
