Job Summary
Conduct prospect research, manage gift officer portfolios, and develop strategies to identify and advance major and principal gift prospects at WPI. Design research standards, screening methodologies, and capacity rating practices to support the university's fundraising pipeline. Lead the prospect research team, ensuring accurate biographical and financial profiling while collaborating with Analytics and Gift Management functions. Serve as a consultant to gift officers on cultivation and solicitation cycles, translating data insights into actionable prospect strategies. Manage team performance, evaluate research tools, and maintain adherence to industry ethics and data privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree
- 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in prospect research, prospect management, or prospect development
- preferably in higher education or a complex nonprofit environment
