Job Summary
Deliver managed and franchised luxury hotel projects on schedule, within budget, and to brand quality standards from concept through completion. Manage design and quality assurance for renovation and new development projects, representing Marriott International's interests with owners and developers to resolve issues and drive repeat business. Provide overall direction to professional design teams, establish brand standards, and make innovative decisions on project basis while weighing design impact against ROI. Review design, construction drawings, and specifications to ensure brand compliance, inspect model guestrooms, and maintain punch and acceptance turnover processes with the Opening's Team. Liaise with designers, owners, and franchisees to define scopes of work, assist with value engineering, and prepare presentations for continent design review meetings. Lead and mentor direct reports, establish career development plans, and foster an environment of open communication and empowerment across all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- High proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) in English
- Minimum 12 years' experience in the disciplines of hospitality architecture, interior design, or construction management
- Minimum 8 years' experience on international luxury hospitality projects, and with luxury brands
- Baccalaureate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related design discipline
- Architecture, Interior Design or Project Management license/accreditation
- At the time of application, applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom

- Experience in managing the development of scopes of work, financial and scheduling management associated with the construction of multiple lodging properties and owner relations
- Must have the ability to solve problems that will meet the expectations of the brands and the guests, while maintaining sound economic judgment for the Owner, and Marriott International
- Baccalaureate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related design discipline is preferred or equivalent work experience within the industry
