Job Summary

Establish and maintain agency project management standards, governance expectations, templates, and lifecycle practices for agency-level projects. Direct portfolio intake, prioritization, and resource planning to align work with organizational goals and capacity. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate project management staff while assigning work, monitoring caseloads, and supporting professional development. Provide oversight and approval of charters, scopes, risk plans, and status reporting for assigned projects. Lead cross-functional steering groups to clarify decision rights and resolve barriers. Monitor portfolio performance, KPIs, and risks to direct corrective action when plans deviate. Drive implementation of governance across the agency, ensuring consistent use of Asana or approved tools. Prepare executive-level portfolio reports for the VP, EVP of CQI, and Executive Leadership Team regarding at-risk projects and governance needs. Lead continuous improvement of PMO practices, including training, tool adoption, and lessons learned. Serve as the agency subject matter leader for project management practice.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible project management experience
  • Experience supervising project management staff, leading cross-functional project teams, or managing a project portfolio
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • valid Driver License
  • satisfactory driving record
