Job Summary
Director, Project Engineering – BESS for Data Centers. Lead a team of project engineers to execute end‐to‐end BESS deployments for mission‐critical data centers, establishing engineering standards, driving cross‐functional coordination, and ensuring technical compliance (NEC/IEEE/NFPA/UL) across multi‐MW projects. Own the engineering execution strategy from development through commissioning, collaborate with PM, procurement, and construction, review designs and calculations, oversee field activities and vendor selections, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in project engineering, electrical systems, or energy storage
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Deep technical knowledge of energy storage systems and high‐voltage power systems
- Strong understanding of electrical system design, system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash), and integration with mission‐critical infrastructure
- Experience managing engineering teams, developing processes, and implementing best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM)
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive alignment across technical and non‐technical teams
- Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and communication skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership and customers
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 30%
