Job Summary
Lead capital mining projects from concept through feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning; oversee internal engineering teams and EPCM contractors to ensure safe, high-quality, on-budget delivery; identify and mitigate technical and project risks with proactive problem-solving and clear stakeholder communication; integrate engineering with project controls, procurement, and construction; manage CAPEX budgeting and reporting; drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and governance; support permitting, community relations, and corporate functions; collaborate with Nevada Projects leadership and cross-functional teams to align engineering outcomes with business priorities; ensure compliance with MSHA and environmental regulations; mentor engineering staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, complex project environment; require Bachelor’s in relevant discipline, with Master’s preferred and PE/P.Eng. preferred; 10–15 years of engineering and project management experience in mining, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role; travel within Nevada and project areas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Mining Engineering, or related discipline (required). Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business (MBA) preferred. Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.) registration or eligibility preferred.
