Director, Project Development - Power Generation

Job Summary
Director, Project Development will lead the strategy, origination, and execution of large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the U.S. with a focus on natural gas, power generation, and data-center energy solutions. Responsibilities include origination through NTP, structuring complex transactions (joint ventures, co-development), overseeing pro forma modeling, capital structuring, and investment materials; leading cross-functional teams across Engineering, Strategy, Procurement, Construction, and external consultants; managing stakeholder relationships with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, regulators, landowners, and JV partners; ensuring regulatory compliance, and establishing governance, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling practices; mentorship and development of the development team; and negotiating key commercial agreements to advance projects to financial close and NTP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in project development within energy/infrastructure
- strong experience with financial close, NTP, PPAs, EPC contracts, and joint ventures
- deep understanding of natural gas markets and regulatory processes
- leadership of cross-functional teams
- proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
