Director, Product Strategy - Flexible Generation

Job Summary
Define project archetypes for the RWE Flexible Generation product offer, standardizing scope, generation stacks, and regulatory constructs to align with customer purchase drivers. Translate execution inputs into customer value drivers and collaborate with business development to create sales collateral and match specific project opportunities to target segments. Prioritize development investments by overlaying archetypes onto the project pipeline and assess gaps through acceleration, M&A, or other solutions. Serve as the primary interface with Regulatory Affairs to define overarching regulatory approaches, research local legislation, and engage stakeholders to refine project designs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. regulatory environments and support commercial negotiations with regulatory insight.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 15 years energy sector experience with a focus on policy and regulatory affairs
- Fluency in power assets, generation technologies, and associated outcomes for offtakers
- Deep knowledge of the regulatory and policy trends impacting the U.S. power sector
- Experience working at the intersection of power projects and hyperscaler driven power demand, at a utility, energy developer, hyperscaler or other data center developer/operator
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills in highly ambiguous environments
- Experience developing high quality communications and marketing materials
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Team leader and mentor able to identify individual strengths, foster professional growth, and provide actionable, constructive feedback
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds

- This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWEA offices and field location
