Director, Product Portfolio Management - Infectious Disease

Job Summary
Lead product and portfolio lifecycle strategy, forecasting, and roadmap development for infectious disease diagnostics. Apply deep disease-domain expertise, regulatory insight, and strong business acumen to advance adoption, drive profitability, and expand margins. Monitor scientific, regulatory, and competitive developments to inform portfolio direction. Lead development of product business cases, including market sizing, growth projections, and total cost estimation. Serve as the commercial representative across scientific, operational, and market access teams, managing strategic partnerships to drive distribution and revenue. Articulate product vision to partners and internal teams while representing the customer voice in strategic committees. Partner with Marketing to support differentiation strategy and thought leadership, ensuring operational readiness for product launches and acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 or more years of experience in product management and/or portfolio strategy within diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences
- Applicants will follow a hybrid schedule that includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master of Science, Master of Public Health, or Master of Business Administration)
- 5 or more years' experience with diagnostics commercialization and regulatory pathways
- 5 or more years' experience with market access/payor policies for diagnostics
- 5 or more years' experience in Infectious Disease
- Forecasting & Pricing experience
