Job Summary
Direct a pharmaceutical product category management function including brands, generics, and specialty drugs; develop the category strategy to drive increased sales, market share, and profitability. Lead category activities such as sales and market-share analysis, supplier negotiations, and new product launches; ensure item data accuracy, catalog copy, and onboarding of new suppliers; manage SKU optimization, seasonal product management, and channel marketing. Drive business development with manufacturers, oversee financial performance including rebate programs and cost-to-profitability, and guide the category team toward strategic objectives. Requires 12+ years in product category management with 5+ years of management experience; strong leadership, communication, negotiation, planning, and analytical skills; and travel under 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in product category management experience; 5 or more years of management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline; Master's degree or global equivalent a plus
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Travel typically less than 10%
