Job Summary
Director, Procurement - Global Mechanical responsible for leading the global mechanical sourcing organization and shaping the supply network across China, Asia, Europe, and other markets. Develop and execute global procurement strategies for mechanical commodities (machining, castings, stampings, plastics, cable assemblies, electromechanical components, packaging); build strategic supplier partnerships; drive supplier scouting, qualification, localization, and dual-sourcing to improve resilience; lead commercial negotiations and deliver sustainable cost reductions, value engineering, and total cost optimization. Establish supplier performance management, risk mitigation, and business continuity processes; collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain to support objectives and new product development; advance procurement excellence through standardization, digital transformation, analytics, and continuous improvement; coach and develop global procurement talent and succession plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Master's degree is advantageous
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management experience in multinational organizations
- At least 5–8 years of leadership experience managing regional or global procurement teams
- Professional fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency highly advantageous
- Strong expertise in mechanical sourcing categories and manufacturing processes
- Deep understanding of China and Asia supplier ecosystems, manufacturing capabilities, and market dynamics
- Proven track record of delivering cost reduction, supplier development, procurement transformation, and supply chain resilience initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills in a global matrix organization
