Job Summary
Director for Process & Automation Engineering leads development, validation, industrialization, and deployment of new manufacturing capabilities, overseeing automation systems, controls, and material handling to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions. Drives cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, IT, and other stakeholders; translates manufacturing strategy into site-level delivery; manages scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources; provides technical guidance to engineers; supports IoT/Industry 4.0 readiness and future connectivity. Requires extensive leadership and hands-on experience in developing manufacturing capabilities, automation systems, robotics/vision systems, sensors, machine connectivity, and working with external integrators or machine builders. Responsibilities include leading teams, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring projects are completed on time and budget, with a focus on scalability, readiness for growth, and alignment with business priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, automation, industrialization, or related roles
- Leadership experience managing teams, technical projects, or cross-functional initiatives
- Strong background in developing new manufacturing capabilities, automation systems, and equipment integration
- Experience managing projects involving scope, budget, schedule, and resource planning
