Director, Private Securities

Director, Private Securities role focused on owning client relationships and delivering successful transaction outcomes in the private markets. Responsibilities include monetizing existing client relationships, building new relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, wealth management platforms, angel investors, and other buy-side clients; maintaining relationships with sellers (individuals, venture capital/private equity firms, LPs); expanding Forge’s network within Silicon Valley communities, angel groups, and family offices; collaborating with growth engineering teams to manage, automate, and scale client engagement; providing market insights, demonstrating expertise, and overseeing transaction processes to align supply and demand; partnering with operations, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes. Qualifications emphasize 5–7 years in financial services sales focused on institutional sales/private placements, FINRA Series 7 and 63, a Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/business, and ability to work both independently and in teams. Preferred qualifications include experience with secondary transactions and a background in VC/PE. Compensation for residents of New York ranges from $200,000–$350,000 depending on performance.
