Director & Portfolio Manager, On Strategy Portfolio - Toronto

Oversees the On Strategy Portfolio Management team, ensuring regulatory compliance, execution of portfolio rebalancing and cash management, and maintaining model and risk controls. Drives process improvement, collaborates with operations and technology to implement platform changes, and serves as the Centre of Investment Expertise for Wealth Managers. Leads a high-performing team to deliver centralized portfolio execution services with strong client satisfaction, while monitoring asset mix, managing variance limits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Develops and executes operational and technology strategies, identifies technology gaps, and partners with Wealth Management and support groups to maximize delivery of investment solutions. Focuses on leadership, coaching, and development of direct reports, fostering a high-performance environment and effective succession planning, all within Scotiabank’s values and conduct standards. Ensures alignment of day-to-day operations with risk appetite and regulatory controls, maintaining clear communication of investment decisions and rationale.
