Job Summary
Director, Portfolio Insights drives high-impact strategic projects for AbbVie’s R&D portfolio, including leading cross-TA analytics, enhancing Quarterly Portfolio Prioritization (QPP), refining valuation methodologies and PTRS assessments, and delivering data-driven executive narratives. The role builds and democratizes value metrics (e.g., raNPV, Productivity Index), creates dashboards for interrogating the portfolio, and collaborates with Finance, PPM, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Statistics, and other functions to translate analyses into actionable decisions for senior leadership. It requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, executive presence, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific or business field required
- Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred
- Prior experience in management consulting with a track record in R&D strategy / portfolio prioritization projects
- 8+ years with a Bachelor’s, 6+ with a Master’s, or 4+ with a Doctorate (experience levels)
