Director, Policy Design – Global Employee Leave & Accommodations

Director, Policy Design – Global Employee Leave & Accommodations leads the design, governance, and evolution of global employee leave of absence, time off, and medical accommodations programs. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a global framework with local compliance adaptations, establishing governance models, and partnering with regional benefit leads, legal, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment. The role oversees the U.S. worksite Health Centers and contract nursing staff, designs a global medical accommodations framework, and drives standardization and scalability of leave practices. Key activities include evaluating and updating policies, managing external vendors and service providers, tracking absence trends and program spend, developing executive-level communications and business cases, and supporting strategic initiatives across the benefits portfolio. Required capabilities include deep expertise in global benefits, regulatory knowledge related to leave and accommodations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA), policy design and governance, vendor management, financial acumen, and strong project management, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making. The role also entails overseeing the U.S. health center strategy and operations, managing vendor relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to enhance programs, processes, and employee experience.
