Director, Platform Development

Lead the design, buildout, and evolution of a modern data platform as Director, Platform Development. Hands-on contributor who writes production code (Node.js, TypeScript) while setting architectural direction and guiding a growing engineering team. Own and triage intake requests, establish platform architecture and engineering standards, and ensure scalable data ingestion, lakehouse architectures, ELT pipelines, and governance requirements. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, promote test-driven development, secure development lifecycle practices, and drive code quality and automation. Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with governance, analytics, and downstream consumers in a matrixed enterprise. Over time, transition toward people leadership and execution management as the platform matures; role emphasizes ownership, strong communication, and architectural rigor.
