Job Summary
Manage all aspects of facilities maintenance, infrastructure, and plant resources for the assigned Kettering Health location. Prioritize jobs and allocate staffing and resources to support total facility management while overseeing relationships with outsourced contractors to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. Serve as the primary decision maker for maintenance issues, sustainability, and long-term planning, reporting directly to the campus COO. Lead teams with oversight of budget and contracted services, ensuring compliance with state fire codes, Life Safety Code, and HFAP standards. Requires 7+ years in facilities management, a Bachelor's or Master's degree, and ASHE membership. Full-time days role with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering or a closely related field, or a nationally accredited apprenticeship program completion
- Minimum 7 years in Facilities management with experience in budget oversight, contracted services oversight, personnel management and long-term planning
- ASHE (American Society for Healthcare Engineering) member
- ICS (Incident Command System) 100, 200, 700 course completions within the first year
- Leadership/management skills
- Knowledge of State and local fire codes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Life Safety Code and application to HFAP Chapters 11 & 13 standards
- Ability to read blueprints and specs for construction projects
- Ability to work with web-based software
- Able to manage multiple projects and teams at one time
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred
- CHFM preferred
