Job Summary
Director, Philanthropy & Development leads and grows a fundraising program for the WCHC Foundation. Strategically designs and executes multi-year fundraising and growth plans, including major gifts, campaigns, annual giving, events, and donor stewardship. Acts as a hands-on fundraiser while collaborating with the CEO and Foundation leadership, building relationships with individuals, businesses, and community partners, and advancing healthcare equity in a rural context. Responsibilities include developing fundraising strategy, pursuing opportunities (grants, corporate partnerships, donor campaigns), managing a portfolio of major donors, stewarding donors with personalized impact reporting, strengthening governance, overseeing donor databases and reporting, and communicating the Foundation’s impact to inspire giving. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, relationship-building, storytelling, and ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve fundraising goals in a rural health environment.
