Job Summary
Director level leadership role overseeing the BUH Pharmacy Supply Chain. Responsible for strategic and operational management of pharmacy purchasing, contracting, inventory control, drug shortage mitigation, and 340B program optimization across hospital operations and BUH Pharmacy LLC. Develops and executes financial stewardship plans, budgets, and policies; directs RFP development and vendor contracting; ensures formulary management, medication safety, storage, distribution, and regulatory compliance. Builds and guides a high-performing work group of managers, supervisors, pharmacists, and technicians; drives performance improvements, standardizes processes, and integrates technology and automation. Travels between sites as needed and leads workforce development, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with system leadership and professional organizations. LOCATION: Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. WORK ENVIRONMENT includes travel between affiliate sites and potential extended standing/walking; requires licensure in RI and proficiency with MS Office and BI tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Current unrestricted licensure as a licensed pharmacist in Rhode Island within start window
- Experience: seven years progressively more responsible related experience in a health care environment
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and presentation skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft 365 and data/BI tools (Power BI preferred)
