Job Summary
Direct pharmacy services provision, including planning, organizing, and evaluating operations for Firelands Health patients, employees, and medical staff. Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and ACHC standards while monitoring revenue and expense budgets. Manage human resources, implement organizational policies, and develop departmental procedures to maintain a safe, cost-effective drug distribution system. Provide comprehensive drug information dissemination and contribute to strategic initiatives. Requires Ohio pharmacy licensure, PharmD or Bachelor's degree, and three years of managerial experience in a progressive medical center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school
- M.S./M.B.A.
- Licensed by the State of Ohio
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in a progressive medical center pharmacy environment
- Ability to read and write small letters and numbers
- Ability to perform complex arithmetic and financial applications
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in both written and oral form
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to maintain an accident free work place
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations
- Ability to comply with CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations
- Ability to utilize proper personal protective equipment
- Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms
- Ability to achieve all departmental goals and competencies
- Ability to contribute to the department's ongoing strategic initiatives
