Job Summary

Director of Performance Marketing role in Shanghai leads global go-to-market and user acquisition strategy for a new unannounced ARPG title, builds Scopely’s first UA pod in China, and manages multi-channel campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and DSPs. Oversees full-funnel measurement frameworks, KPI attribution, and LTV modeling; partners with Product, Analytics, Growth, and Creative; mentors a high-performing team; drives experimentation across channels and formats; manages multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on ROI and long-term player value. Requires fluency in English and Mandarin, 8+ years in performance marketing/UA (mobile gaming or consumer apps), 4+ years of people management, experience with Chinese gaming studios, and a track record of scaling budgets across multiple channels. Bonus: experience with Midcore/RPG/Strategy 4x mobile games.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of performance marketing / user acquisition experience
  • 4+ years of people management experience
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Experience working with Chinese gaming studios
  • Proven success in managing and scaling multi-million dollar acquisition budgets across multiple channels
  • Strong experience with major platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, programmatic networks)
  • Demonstrated expertise in go-to-market strategy, launch planning, and scaling new products
  • Deep analytical mindset with experience in attribution, incrementality testing, LTV modeling, and performance forecasting
  • Track record of driving significant growth through improvements in automation, marketing tech, or data infrastructure
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
