Job Summary

Director, People and Culture to shape illumin’s people strategy and support the next growth phase. Reporting to the COO, this role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the business on organizational design, talent management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, performance, and change management. The role is hybrid, working on-site in downtown Toronto (Tuesdays–Thursdays). You will partner with executives to design and implement people initiatives, strengthen leadership capability, and drive organizational development to support growth. You will coach leaders, shape talent decisions, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee experience, while leading the People and Office Operations function. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $170,000 base salary. The position emphasizes strategic partnership with the business, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering practical, commercially minded HR guidance that aligns with business outcomes. This is a transformative role focused on evolving leadership practices, organizational design, and People strategies to enable institutional growth and performance. Required Qualifications

  • HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in technology, SaaS, digital media, or high-growth environments
  • Experience coaching managers and strengthening leadership effectiveness
  • Ability to align people strategies with business priorities and advise on organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance
  • Strategic and operational balance; capable of building and improving programs, processes, and practices while executing
  • Strong business acumen; understand goals, challenges, and priorities to balance employee experience with business outcomes
  • Change management and organizational effectiveness experience; support growth and transformation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Leadership experience; able to lead and develop small teams in People and Office Operations
