Job Summary
Senior Project Director responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of major construction and development projects or portfolios. Provides executive-level oversight, aligns projects with client objectives, manages key client relationships, and leads multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, budget, schedule, and performance. Establishes project governance, defines success criteria and KPIs, leads portfolio prioritization and resource planning, and champions standardized project management methodologies. Directs comprehensive project planning (scope, schedule, budget, risk), approves major decisions (design direction, procurement strategies, delivery methods), monitors health and forecasts, and ensures coordination across all disciplines. Manages financial controls and reporting, oversees contracts and change orders, and optimizes profitability while maintaining client satisfaction. Serves as primary executive contact for clients, communicates status to senior leadership and boards, and drives risk mitigation, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Leads and develops project-management teams, builds high-performing organizations, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Travel to project sites required; on-site, Mumbai, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required
- 15-25+ years of progressive project management experience with increasing leadership responsibility
- Minimum 5 years in senior project leadership roles managing large-scale, complex projects
- Experience with multiple delivery methods including design-bid-build, design-build, CM at-risk, and IPD
- Proven track record delivering large scale project
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, MS Project)
- PMP certification highly preferred; CCM or equivalent advantageous
- LEED AP or related sustainability credentials beneficial
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively to project sites
