Job Summary
Lead patient safety and infection prevention initiatives by driving organizational quality improvements, managing accreditation surveys, and overseeing infection surveillance. Engage team members through effective communication to foster retention and solve challenges via insight and inquiry. Ensure regulatory readiness and continuous performance improvement while standing by unpopular decisions in the interest of Community. Maintain a valid California RN license and obtain Certified Infection Control (CIC) certification within three years. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or another licensed clinical healthcare discipline
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible clinical experience in an acute care healthcare setting
- Five (5) years of leadership experience in patient safety, infection prevention, quality, risk management, or a closely related clinical discipline
- Demonstrated success leading organization-wide quality, patient safety, or infection prevention initiatives
- Experience with regulatory readiness, accreditation surveys, infection surveillance, and continuous performance improvement
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
- Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with an unrestricted California license in another applicable clinical profession (e.g., Registered Pharmacist or other licensed healthcare professional) when they possess exceptional qualifications in patient safety, infection prevention, and healthcare quality leadership
