Job Summary
Lead the Spring Grove Paper, Coating, and Converting Departments by driving first-quartile safety performance and executing profit-driven operating plans that maximize value and deliver budgeted production and cost objectives. Provide technical leadership in resolving equipment, material, and reliability challenges while managing major capital projects from evaluation through installation within established scope. Develop and coach operational leaders to strengthen organizational capability, accountability, and manufacturing performance through continuous improvement methodologies. Build strong partnerships with EH&S, HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Pulp & Paper, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in a paper manufacturing environment
- progressively responsible operational leadership experience
- Five (5) or more years of leadership experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Production Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Superintendent, or a comparable role
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with systematic continuous improvement methodologies and processes
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
