Job Summary
Director, Orthopedic Service Line at NorthBay Health leads strategic, operational, and financial stewardship of the orthopedic service line across the continuum of care, driving growth, quality, patient experience, and financial performance. The role partners with physician leaders, nursing leadership, and system stakeholders to supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (e.g., TJC, Joint Replacement), advance evidence-based care models, and position Orthopedics as a destination service aligned with organizational strategy. Responsibilities include clinical integration with physician leadership, care coordination, accreditation readiness, performance improvement, and development of department goals. Operational oversight spans inpatient and outpatient settings with emphasis on patient flow, access, and throughput. Financial stewardship covers budgeting, forecasting, reimbursement optimization, and ROI evaluation for programs and technology. Strategic leadership involves multi-year planning, market opportunity identification, program development, and capital planning. Governance, reporting, physician and provider engagement, team leadership, and patient experience are key focus areas. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, APPs, staff, and leadership to recruit and engage providers, align incentives with quality and patient experience goals, and manage human resources and regulatory compliance for orthopedic/rehabilitation services.
