Job Summary
As the Director of Organ Recovery Services, oversee and manage the Recovery Services department, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities include managing daily operations of various coordinators, providing mentorship and evaluations for staff, maintaining an open-door policy, and ensuring effective implementation of protocols. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of organ and tissue donation processes, physical ability to handle equipment, and effective communication skills. This position includes risk factors related to emergency medical situations and requires a commitment to organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong leadership and staff management skills
- Understanding of application of policies and protocols for procurement
- Comprehensive knowledge and ability to analyze organ/tissue development and recovery activities
- Demonstrated physical ability to lift and carry equipment from 1 to 30 pounds
- Ability to direct, schedule, and monitor 24/7 call rotation process
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and professional attitude
- Good driving record and current state driver license

- Availability via pager and cell phone 24/7
- Possible exposure to blood and/or body fluids
- Potential for obtaining cuts and/or punctures from sharp instruments
- High stress/long hours while on call
