Job Summary
Prepare and review income tax provisions pursuant to ASC 740, manage delivery of accounting services for corporate clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 entities, and serve as the primary client service contact. Lead and manage teams of tax professionals by mentoring, developing, and recruiting associates while actively reviewing their work before submission. Identify, design, and implement tax planning strategies, and maintain technical competence by staying current on tax laws and trends. Work a hybrid schedule of 2-4 days in the Phoenix-area office.
Required Qualifications
- Must be located in the Phoenix-area and available to work a hybrid schedule of 2-4 days in the office
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or a related field
- CPA license
- Minimum of 8 years (Senior Manager: 6 years) progressive post-bachelor's experience in preparing and reviewing income tax return work papers in accordance with U.S. Federal, State, and Local income tax laws
- Minimum of 8 years (Senior Manager: 6 years) progressive post-bachelor's experience in preparing tax documents using Tax Compliance Software, and the following Excel Tools: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and INDEX+MATCH
- Minimum of 8 years (Senior Manager: 6 years) progressive post-bachelor's experience in advising clients regarding tax strategies
- Minimum of 8 years (Senior Manager: 6 years) progressive post-bachelor's experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 standards and other guidance under U.S. GAAP
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in leading and mentoring a team of 2-6 Tax Associates
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in reviewing U.S. Federal, State and Local income tax returns prepared by Tax Associates
