Job Summary
Direct all projects within the assigned market to meet customer expectations, quality standards, and expected margins while overseeing daily operations, safety, staffing, and profitability. Review financial and operational performance data to monitor productivity and goal progress, prepare and manage the market's budget, and establish working relationships with customers and subcontractors. Enforce company safety practices, resolve escalated inquiries, and manage vendor selection, contracts, and production tracking. Determine staffing requirements, oversee facility and fleet maintenance, and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency. Liaise with Shared Services and execute market growth strategies in conjunction with senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a four-year college or university
- Ten years telecommunications and cable experience, including underground construction and utilities, aerial construction, multi dwelling units (MDU), and planning and routing of utilities and fiber
- Five to seven years management experience
- Experience managing large scale projects
- Experience forecasting and budgeting
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations
- Knowledge of highway traffic control standards
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of utility depths and placement
- Ability to read and interpret design prints
- Ability to understand and audit network drawings, route maps, and scopes of work interpreting fiber test results
- Ability to use various customer systems

- Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
- Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including short notice travel. Travel includes local site travel or national travel depending on business needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation a plus
