Job Summary
Oversee primary chicken processing operations and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, logistics, quality, and customer service functions to optimize plant performance. Strategically manage capacity to meet production requirements while accountable for product yield, labour efficiency, and overhead expenses. Foster a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with OHS and environmental standards, overseeing root cause analysis of non-compliance, and implementing corrective measures. Promote best-in-class preventative maintenance programs and oversee all QA processes to maintain food safety and product quality standards. Build high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and performance management while collaborating with Human Resources and Union representatives.
Required Qualifications
- Post Secondary Degree in a related field
- minimum of 10 years Plant or Technical Management experience
- Diverse Plant operations knowledge acquired through comprehensive related experience
- previous Plant leadership
- Demonstrated people management and development capability
- proven success in leading and inspiring teams to excel
- Experience with development and deployment of Continuous Improvement principles and programs
- Exceptional communication skills
- Critical thinker with the ability to apply strategic practices
- Strong business acumen
