Job Summary
Provide executive leadership to a major manufacturing and supply chain function, establishing and monitoring production metrics while initiating corrective actions. Plan project schedules, evaluate resource utilization, and accurately establish plant capacity to ensure on-time delivery. Direct the Operations Team in achieving production and supply chain goals aligned with operational and safety procedures. Engage in complex problem solving and continuous improvement efforts to refine production methods and maximize profitability. Mentor direct reports in daily operational management, systems development, and optimization, driving Lean, Safety, and Quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Executive leadership experience to a major manufacturing / supply chain function
- Experience leading functional operations at multiple manufacturing sites
- Ability to establish and monitor production using metrics/budgets through systems
- Ability to initiate appropriate corrective action based on results
- Experience establishing and controlling project schedules and timelines
- Ability to plan and evaluate optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation
- Experience accurately establishing plant capacity
- Experience directing, guiding, monitoring, and evaluating Operations Team personnel
- Ability to accomplish specific production and supply chain goals consistent with established operational, housekeeping (5S), and safety procedures and processes
- Experience engaging in problem solving in complex situations and process improvements
- Experience streamlining work processes
- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and projects to refine production methods and processes
- Experience identifying and pursuing new technologies to improve production, increase efficiency and resource utilization and maximize profitability
- Experience working closely with members of Senior and Executive Management to align overall operations development with business needs/opportunities
- Experience promoting an environment of cooperation and trust
- Experience providing ownership / leadership for a major divisional function, project, or program (i.e., Inventory Management, AMPS/Lean, Responsiveness / Agility)
- Experience providing leadership, guidance, mentorship, and personal development of direct reports in the areas of daily operational management, systems development, and optimization
- Experience identifying process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing or department capabilities
- Experience driving Lean, Safety and Quality
- Experience taking corrective action
- Broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices
- Broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across business unit, department or sub-functions
- Experience leading through subordinate managers of managers
- Experience executing segment/functional business plans and contributing to the development of segment/functional strategy
- Experience directing the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment
- Experience impacting results of a department, business unit or sub-function or facilitating the work done by other segments/functions by providing support to impact the business
- Experience negotiating and influencing the opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations
- Experience exercising sensitivity to the audience

- Willingness to travel 25% of the time
