Job Summary
Oversee and manage the operational and administrative activities of the Cancer Institute, including Medical Group and Article 28 Infusion oversight. Direct day-to-day operations to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality care, while managing budgets, scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation. Lead a multidisciplinary team through performance evaluations and mentoring, and develop long-term strategies for service line growth and new program implementation. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metrics through continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams, facilitating communication and overseeing electronic health record implementation. This in-person role requires weekly travel to multiple Cancer Institute centers across Long Island and involves both office and clinical settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5-6 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations
- At least 2-3 years in a leadership role with Hematology/Oncology or clinical service line setting
- Strong knowledge of healthcare operations
- Strong knowledge of financial management
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning
- Proven ability to manage large teams and multi-disciplinary departments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations
- Familiarity with quality metrics
- Familiarity with accreditation standards
- Proficiency in healthcare management software
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- On site presence at facilities is required
- Travel between healthcare facilities will be required
Desired Qualifications
- Infusion Center experience
- Outpatient Practice Operations experience
- Strong knowledge of EPIC software
- Certification in Healthcare Management (e.g., Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE))
