Job Summary

Lead regulatory strategy and stakeholder engagement for offshore wind developers pursuing Submerged Land Licences through the Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator (CNSOER) process. Monitor bid evaluation criteria, scoring methods, and regulatory expectations to position clients for successful tenure acquisition. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with regulators, Indigenous Nations, commercial fisheries, and community groups to navigate complex approvals and maximize local benefits. Provide technical leadership during proposal development, including relationship management, Indigenous engagement, and community benefit plans. Support the creation of regulatory roadmaps from tenure acquisition through impact assessment, coexistence strategies, and biodiversity plans. Coach technical professionals, champion Arcadis Global resources, and build a strong professional profile through industry associations and thought leadership activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in an appropriate scientific discipline such as environmental science, studies, planning, or engineering
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years in a consulting environment
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RPP, P.Geo., RPBio, EP) or equivalent
  • Detailed knowledge of federal and provincial environmental assessment regulatory and permitting processes
  • Detailed knowledge of related Canadian standards, codes of practice, and policy
