Job Summary
Director of Worship & Communications for Redemption Church North Calgary. Plans and leads weekly worship services, aligns service flow with sermon series and church calendar, and coordinates monthly prayer/worship. Recruits and develops musicians and tech volunteers; leads and trains worship teams; oversees production tech (sound, visuals, livestream, lighting). Develops and manages communications for weekend services and church-wide events, including social media and special presentation videos. Collaborates with pastors on special services (baptisms, weddings, funerals) and partners with Youth/Children’s Ministry. Manages worship/production budget, schedules, song library, and licensing (CCLI). Maintains high musical and technical excellence; shepherds volunteers with prayer and relational investment; seeks to raise future worship leaders. Qualifications emphasize spiritual alignment, humility, teamwork, and a proven track record in worship leadership; strong vocal/instrumental ability; knowledge of live sound and planning software; excellent organizational and communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading worship in a church of comparable size or complexity (or demonstrated readiness to do so).
- Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency (guitar and/or keys preferred).
- Strong understanding of modern worship music, hymnody, and congregational singing.
- Experience leading and developing volunteers, including giving feedback and coaching.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of live sound, in-ear monitoring, click/tracks, and presentation software.
