Job Summary
Collaborate with the Restaurant Executive Chef to drive innovative promotions, menus, and special events that enhance guest experiences and increase revenue. Lead recruitment, training, and mentorship of staff while conducting performance evaluations to cultivate a high-performance environment aligned with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards. Strategically position the restaurant as a top dining choice in Edmonton and Canada by overseeing financial performance, adhering to budgetary guidelines for labor, productivity, and expenses. Actively participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to align with broader financial goals. This full-time role reports to the Director, Food & FBE, with a salary range of $59,000 - $88,500 CAD Gross Annually. Candidates require a minimum of three years in senior management within a luxury setting, a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business, and ProServe certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel setting
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial targets
- Strong understanding of LQA standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the restaurant's operation
- Ability to work effectively with programs including Microsoft Office, Avero, Open Table, Opera and Silverware
- Adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of the local culinary scene and trends
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred
- Candidates must be legal to serve alcohol in Alberta (18 years of age) and must possess ProServe certification
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents
