Job Summary
Lead the Office of Admissions by planning student recruitment initiatives, overseeing daily operations, and managing the department budget. Direct and coordinate the admissions process, including recruitment plans, applicant reviews, and admission decisions while ensuring compliance with institutional standards. Develop and implement strategic recruitment and retention plans, analyze admissions data to monitor enrollment trends, and collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials. Serve as the liaison to internal and external constituents regarding admissions and enrollment issues. Meet with prospective students and families to discuss the admissions process and requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational trends and changes in policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proven experience in a leadership role within admissions or a related department in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of admissions processes and procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Experience with social media platforms
- Proficient in core computer software programs (google documents, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Canva)

- At least a minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions or enrollment management
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful recruitment strategies for undergraduate populations
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision and development of professional staff
- Experience working with CRMs (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, Jenzabar) and data to inform decision-making
- Familiarity with financial aid, scholarships, and their role in recruitment and yield strategy
- Strong understanding of national enrollment trends and best practices in undergraduate recruitment
- Experience collaborating across departments, particularly with marketing, academic affairs, and student services
- Comfort with public speaking, including presentations to prospective students, families, and school counselors
- Experience managing territory and travel planning, including off-site recruitment and event coordination
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
